Blockchain Africa Conference To Be Held March 8-9 2018 in Johannesburg

The annual Blockchain Africa Conference hosted by the Bitcoin Events (Pty) will be held on the 8th and 9th of March 2018 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The conference is set to bring together various thought leaders and experts “who will discuss the opportunities, challenges and exciting possibilities in innovation and disruption that can be leveraged in using the blockchain technology.”

Themes for the Blockchain Africa Conference

The key themes for the March 2018 Blockchain Africa Conference will be:

  • Blockchain technology use cases
  • Regulatory environment
  • Technology hurdles faced by the blockchain technology

The conference is set to attract delegates from various sectors including C-Level executives, investors, entrepreneurs, compliance officers, and fund managers, among others. Furthermore, the conference will have representatives from multiple professionals including internal audits, regulators, product teams, mobile payment, legal advocates, general counsels among others.

Three Year Anniversary of the Blockchain Africa Conference

Bitcoin Events (Pty) held its first Blockchain Africa Conference in 2015 with the CEO of Gyft, Vinny Lingham, whose company was the first e-commerce company to adopt the use of bitcoin in the United States, as the keynote speaker. The second Blockchain Africa Conference followed in 2016 and was successfully sold out. 200 local and international delegates attended and Luno’s CEO, Marcus Swanepoel was the keynote speaker for the event.

The 2017 conference is expected to bring in delegates from various sectors and different parts of the world. Scheduled speakers for the event include Andrew Keys, Tanya Knowles, Farzam Ehsani, Llewellyn Morkel, Alexia Christie and Aatish Ramkaran.
