Meltem Demirors is the Chief Strategy Officer of CoinShares, a leading digital asset manager. She is a crypto investor, advisor, and advocate.

In the past, Meltem has worked with some of the most notable companies in the world. She has experience in financial risk management and capital efficiency.

When it comes to the cryptocurrency industry, Meltem joined Digital Currency Group as the head of the development team in the year 2015. There, she managed the investment portfolios of over 100 cryptocurrency and blockchain companies and served as an advisor for other financial institutions around the world.

Currently, Demirors works as the Chief Strategy Officer of Coinshares, a leading digital asset management company. As part of the team, Demirors oversees the firm’s corporate strategy and manages its proprietary investments portfolio through which they have invested in more than 150 companies in the digital asset ecosystem.

Other than working with the Digital Currency Group and Coinshares, Meltem Demirors also owns an investment company known as ‘Athena Capital’. Here, she invests in and advises cryptocurrency and blockchain startups. She also serves as a partner at 3.0 Capital.

Meltem shares her knowledge on cryptocurrency and blockchain by lecturing at the MIT Media Lab and the Oxford Saïd Business School and, by serving on the World Economic Forum’s Blockchain Council.
